How is freight worked out?
Across the whole consignment, not per line. Ten cartons to one address travel as one consignment and are charged as one, so a second wheelchair rarely doubles the freight. We quote more than one carrier and apply the cheaper result; you don’t choose and you’re not charged the difference. Orders after 12pm AEST leave the next business day.
Is there GST on freight?
Yes, whether or not the goods carry GST. Most of what we supply is GST-free, so on a typical order the only GST is on delivery. The subsidy covers the freight charge itself; the GST on that freight is still payable, and checkout itemises it under the total.
Can I estimate freight before I order?
Yes. Signed in, every product page has an Estimate freight box: enter a postcode for a one-unit estimate without adding anything to a cart. Orders of several items usually cost less per item, because they travel together. Boxed sizes and weights are on each product page under Shipping details.
What if checkout shows no freight option?
A quote couldn’t be obtained for that address, usually a remote location or a carrier outage. Call (07) 3806 4274 and we’ll quote it by hand rather than guess.
The PQUIP Freight Subsidy Plan
On larger orders we cover part of the freight. The credit shows as its own line at checkout, under the full freight figure, so you can see what the plan is worth on that order. It never takes the freight below nothing. Order value is goods only, ex GST and excluding freight.
